Leave no one behind - a new project of World Vision Georgia and the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health

On March 15-16 workshop was organized by World Vision Georgia and the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health to discuss the project implementation process and future cooperation mechanisms of a new project “Leave no one behind”  funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds of Austrian Development Cooperation. 

A joint initiative aims to strengthen the health system in Georgia and address the major secondary impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The three key pillars of the project are: 

  •  Raising awareness about immunization and health issues
  • Strengthening public health and child protection systems in Georgia
  • Supporting vulnerable groups under state care services with needs-based and gender-sensitive improved services.

The 1,5-year project will be implemented in 15 Municipalities of 5 regions:  Tbilisi (all Municipalities),  Imereti (Kutaisi, Zestafoni, Bagdati), Kakheti (Telavi, Gurjaani, Kvareli), Samtskhe-Javakheti (Adigeni, Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi) and Adjara (Batumi).
