World Vision Georgia opened the Ukrainian book library in Public School in Batumi
28 February

World Vision Georgia team donated books in the Ukrainian language to Batumi’s Public school N20 within the frames of the Ukraine Crisis Response Project. In total, more than 300 books have been selected and brought from Kyiv to Batumi to support Ukrainian children and promote reading in their native language. The book selection and delivery were made possible through close cooperation with the Taras Shevchenko Central Library for children in Kyiv and the Ukrainian Charitable Organization Country of Library.

The Ukrainian Books Library was something long-waited and craved by kids and parents. In addition, World Vision Georgia within the frames of UCR provided necessary furniture and materials making the library a special place for children not only for reading but also for gathering and socializing after-school.

Education is a high priority for us, therefore, we try to ensure that children have equal opportunities for development. World Vision Georgia has been providing varied support to the Ukrainian refugees from the very beginning of the crisis with the financial support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH).
