World Vision Georgia joins European Immunization Week 2021

World Vision Georgia joins European Immunization Week and launches a series of informative-educational meetings in partnership with National Center for Disease Control & Public Health in Georgia (NCDC & PH) on the importance of immunization.

The first meeting for schools and preschool institutions representatives is being held today at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Telavi, organized by World Vision Georgia and Kakheti Area Development Center.

The cycle of meetings aim to inform educational institutions representatives with latest information about the importance of immunization and vaccination.


 The educational meetings are conducted by leading specialists of the NCDC, who provide the participants with the latest information on the following topics:

  • COVID 19 pandemic status and worldwide experience in introducing vaccination  against COVID 19;
  • History of vaccination and the role of vaccination against the COVID 19 pandemic;
  • Challenges related to introduction and acceptance of vaccines against COVID 19 - World and Georgian data;

Meeting participants are encouraged and have the opportunity to ask questions and receive competent answers, both regarding immunization, in general, as well as about COVID 19 vaccination.

The National Center for Disease Control and Public Health and World Vision Georgia are launching a strategic partnership by initiating these series of meetings that kicks off in Telavi and will cover other municipalities in Georgia.
