World Vision Georgia: Participation is a fundamental right and key principle for children and youth.

In light of the recent demonstrations across Georgia, World Vision, a child-focused organization, emphasizes the fundamental rights of children and young people to participate meaningfully and safely in public discourse. This aligns with the core principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Child Rights Code of Georgia, which affirm children and young people’s right to freely express their opinions. The use of force against minors during demonstrations is unacceptable and constitutes a grave violation of their rights.

Children are integral members of society, and it is a shared responsibility to create a safe environment where their fundamental rights are upheld and respected.
