World Vision Georgia’s child centres, which provide care and support for street-connected and vulnerable children, recently celebrated their 10th anniversary. To mark the occasion—and in recognition of the International Day for Street Children—a festive event was held at the Kutaisi centre, with active participation from the children themselves in planning and organising the celebration.
The children proudly exhibited their handmade artworks and took to the stage to showcase vibrant dance and musical performances. Following the performances, animators engaged the children in a variety of fun games and competitions, ensuring an atmosphere filled with joy and laughter. The event was also attended by World Vision Georgia staff, companies and corporate partners, who support and care for children. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to those who have contributed to child welfare.
World Vision’s Day Care centres and 24-hour shelters for homeless children operate in Tbilisi and Kutaisi, providing daily support to around 100 children. These centres offer safe accommodation, nutritious meals, access to education, psychosocial support, and services tailored to meet each child’s individual needs.
Every child deserves to live and grow in a healthy and loving environment! Together, we can shape a brighter for them.
