Memorandum of Understanding for implementing the Social Work Certification Program

Today, on May 24, World Vision Georgia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with LEPL the Teacher Professional Development Center and Child Welfare League, which aims to promote the enforcement of the Law of Georgia on Social Work and the Child’s Code in Georgia.


Within the framework of future cooperation, World Vision Georgia will lead the process of a certification program for social work for practitioner social workers. The program covers training, monitoring and providing the relevant educational resources to the following target groups:

  • Practitioner social workers employed in local Government institution
  • Social Workers Employed within the LEPL the Agency for State Care and Assistance for the (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking
  • Practitioner social workers of the Department of Resocialization-Rehabilitation of Convicts of the Special Penitentiary Service

The Memorandum was signed within the framework of 🇪🇺 the EU-funded project "Promoting Child Protection and Welfare System in Georgia". The planned activities will be implemented by World Vision Georgia together with the Child Welfare League.
